How Phiwora Was Born
My journey in education with more than 25 years experienced as a Mathematics teacher in both government and private schools and colleges. Throughout these years, I had the opportunity to work closely with students, teachers, parents, and school administrators, gaining firsthand experience of the challenges that exist within the education system.
As a teacher, I observed many academic difficulties that affected student learning and school performance. These included learning gaps, lack of effective academic support, limited resources, student disengagement, and various obstacles that prevented learners from reaching their full potential.
Rather than accepting these challenges as unavoidable, I became inspired to seek solutions. This vision led to the creation of Phiwora—a problem-solving organization dedicated to addressing academic challenges and supporting educational improvement.
A Vision Beyond Education
My journey as an educator for more than 25 years in both government and private schools taught me that academic challenges are only one part of a much larger picture. Every day, I witnessed how social, emotional, economic, and psychological problems deeply affected students, families, workplaces, and communities.
I met talented young people who lacked self-confidence and believed they were not capable of success. I saw individuals living with stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, and a loss of purpose. Many struggled with limiting beliefs, fear of failure, and a fixed mindset that prevented them from discovering their true potential.
I also observed growing social challenges such as unemployment, underemployment, brain drain, alcoholism, substance abuse, family conflict, poverty, financial illiteracy, inequality, violence, and declining mental well-being. Many people dreamed of building businesses or improving their lives but lacked the mindset, guidance, skills, confidence, and opportunities to begin.

A Journey Driven by Education, Human Potential and Social Transformation
Shankar Prasad Regmi is the Founder and Managing Director of Phiwora Academy(Philanthropic World Relief Academy), an educational and transformational initiative established with a vision to make education more meaningful, human-centered and connected to life.
His journey has been shaped by a strong belief that education is not only about academic achievement. It is about helping every learner discover their potential, develop confidence, build positive relationships, and become capable of contributing to society.
Over the years, Regmi became increasingly interested in the challenges faced by students, teachers and parents within traditional educational environments. He recognized that academic knowledge alone cannot fully prepare young people for the complexities of modern life.
Learners also need motivation, emotional strength, communication skills, creativity, leadership, values and a sense of purpose
This understanding became one of the foundations for establishing Phiwora.
Phiwora was founded from a simple but powerful question:
“How can education help people not only learn, but also grow, connect and thrive?”
This question developed into the philosophy behind Phiwora’s four core pillars:
LEARN – GROW – CONNECT – THRIVE These pillars represent a holistic approach to education in which students, teachers, parents and schools are all part of the learning journey.
Regmi believes that meaningful educational transformation cannot happen through students alone. It requires empowered teachers, supportive parents, responsive schools and strong communities working together.
Therefore, Phiwora has developed programs and frameworks focused on areas such as student motivation, teacher empowerment, positive parenting, student-centered learning, inclusive teaching, classroom management, assessment, leadership, service learning and school engagement.
His Educational Philosophy
At the heart of Regmi’s philosophy is the belief that every learner has potential.
